The most common indication for a PDO threadlift in my practice is for lifting the jowls and the ideal patient is female, in their forties with mild to moderate laxity of the tissue.
PDO threads are inserted into the face, to internally ?zip lock? the tissues into position. The threads are not visible or palpable and dissolve gradually over 6 months, having stimulated collagen to fix the tissues over that time period.
The procedure is a much easier alternative to a facelift, being much quicker to perform, with much less downtime.
