Pixel laser treatment is ideal for sun damage, uneven skin tone, pigmentation, acne scarring, wrinkles, lines and brown spots. I am one of a very few doctors who perform a laser treatment to the eye area to help sagging and lines.
I have been using Pixel Laser for 15 years and found no reason to change or update it. I have had great results with it as a stand-alone treatment or in combination with one of my other treatments. I have treated hundreds of clients with this technology and have a 100% safety record and zero infection rate. I use this technology confidently and can make your treatment tailored to your skin problems.
The treatment requires the patient wearing metal contact lenses during the treatment.
I have had several Pixel treatments myself, as my policy is always to test any treatments I offer to patients first. I want to know that it definitely works, and what the recovery is like. I am super sensitive and I found this treatment quite tolerable. You’ve just got to cope with the heat afterwards, but it settles down quickly. I will share my personal experiences of the treatment so that you know how long before an event you should plan your treatment course. It all comes down to the planning! I have got some great tips to aid the recovery of your skin in the first 48hrs; keep cool, drink plenty of cold fluids, take paracetamol, and keep opening the fridge or freezer door to let the cool air refresh your face. It works a treat!
I offer such a wide variety of treatments, that you may be confused as to what to try, but my 15 years experience, as well as our consultation where we will discuss what you hope to achieve, will tell you what the best options are for your skin.
Pixel laser treatments are available at my clinic at Sevenfields Dental and Health Centre, Woodcutters Mews, Swindon, SN25 4AU.

Laser treatment can be ablative when the entire skin is vaporised. Fractional ablative means that microscopic columns of vaporised tissue are created in the skin, whereas non-ablative creates heat columns in the skin but does not burn the surrounding tissue.
There are 3 types of Fractional ablative laser treatments: Fraxel, Pixel and C02.
Pixel laser has a longer wavelength than other lasers such as a Fraxel laser and therefore, penetrates deeper into the skin. Collagen and elastin fibres, together with fibroblasts, are located deep in the dermis and this is why a longer laser wavelength (Pixel) is advantageous over a Fraxel treatment.
A C02 laser is much more aggressive, requiring dressings, increased risk of infection and time off work. Recovery from Pixel treatment is rather like recovering from sunburn and does not require time off work.
Pixel lasers are non-invasive and do not require surgery. It is suitable for a range of problems including:
Laser resurfacing is an effective way to improve the texture of your skin, lessen the appearance of lines and wrinkles and reduce the appearance of damaged or pigmented skin. It also works on acne and chickenpox scarring.
