PRP ( Platelet Rich Plasma) For Hair Loss

Fuller and healthier natural-looking hair and significant increase of hair regrowth

What is PRP?

PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma and is the golden fluid found in your blood that’s full of growth factors. It also contains vitamins, nutrients and protein. PRP can grow baby hairs, strengthen the existing hairs and thicken them. By thickening them they take up more space and cover more of the scalp.

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a non-surgical procedure for hair regrowth, best used for treating thinning hair and slowing or stopping the progression of hair loss. Losing your hair can be a hugely distressing thing to go through and it can have an impact on your self-esteem.PRP treatment can tackle both male and female pattern baldness as it encourages the growth of existing hair follicles, making your hair appear fuller and healthier without resorting to surgery. It is therefore considered to be the most natural way to stimulate hair growth.

Why choose PRP?

Hair loss is generally caused by a lack of cell renewal in the scalp – which makes PRP the perfect treatment as it stimulates the production of new healthy cells. It is a simple and totally natural. PRP provides safe and reliable results and has a very quick recovery period. Only a small amount of blood is taken as though you are having your routine blood testing and local anesthesia is used, so you experience very minimal discomfort. PRP hair treatments provide effective results with a good success rate.

In 2019 a team of researchers carried out a systematic review of the research on PRP as a treatment for hair loss and their analysis was published in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Eleven research papers that included a total of 262 participants with androgenic alopecia. Most of the studies found that injections of PRP reduced hair loss and increased the diameter of hairs and the density of hair growth.

PRP has been shown to be a safe and effective alternative procedure to treat hair loss compared with Minoxidil and Finasteride.
